Eighteen Years of IMPACT: A Celebration of Legacy, Love, and Full-Circle Moments in Trenton

On April 11th, Tunisha Brown, Founder/Editor-In-Chief of IMPACT Magazine returned to her roots in Trenton, New Jersey to kick off the multi-city celebration of IMPACT’S  18-year anniversary, and what unfolded was more than just a party; it was a powerful tribute to legacy, purpose, and the unwavering belief in a dream birthed nearly two decades ago.

The exclusive gathering was held at The Lobby Club, where guests were welcomed with a specialty cocktail hour sponsored by the award-winning Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey. As guests arrived, the atmosphere was filled with warmth, nostalgia, and pride. The signature cocktails flowed generously, a toast to the magazine’s journey from a small vision to a national movement.

In a beautiful surprise, Fawn Weaver, the trailblazing CEO of Uncle Nearest, sent a copy of her new bestselling book, Love & Whiskey, to be gifted to a deserving guest. That guest was Tenshia Ruffin of Blue Lane Holmes, a breast cancer survivor and entrepreneur whose strength and resilience embody the very spirit of IMPACT. The moment was moving; guests pouring into one another, one legacy recognizing another rising one.

The celebration also included a special giveaway from Ebony’s Spotless Cleaning, who generously provided a $100 gift certificate for housecleaning services. The lucky winner was Nina Claridy, who was thrilled to take home this thoughtful gift.
