IMPACT Magazine Severs Ties with Adobe, Shifts Focus to Resource Scholarship for High School Seniors Nationwide

In a bold and values-driven move, IMPACT Magazine has officially severed ties with Adobe, stepping away from the originally planned empowHERed To IMPACT Career Exploratory Summit that was scheduled to be held at Adobe’s Utah campus. The decision comes in response to Adobe’s discontinuation of their diversity targets; an action that stands in direct conflict with IMPACT Magazine’s unwavering mission to empower, encourage, and educate in communities of color.

“For 18 years, IMPACT Magazine has been a platform rooted in truth, equity, and advocacy,” said Tunisha Brown, Founder and Editor-In-Chief of IMPACT Magazine. “When partnerships no longer align with our principles, we must choose purpose over platform. This is not just business, this is legacy work.”

Rather than host a summit in a space that no longer reflects its core values, IMPACT has decided to pivot with power. The magazine will instead focus its efforts on distributing the Evelyn Yvonne Brown Resource Scholarship to high school seniors across the country. The scholarship named in honor of Tunisha Brown’s late mother, was created in 2024, to provide young women with resources, not just funds; but tools that will guide them in becoming the next generation of leaders, creatives, and innovators.

To support this nationwide scholarship initiative, IMPACT Magazine is organizing an exclusive auction at the upcoming Men of IMPACT Juneteenth Honorary Gala on June 13th in Salt Lake City, Utah. The black-tie affair will not only honor some of today’s most extraordinary men, like NFL Executive Troy Vincent, but will also serve as a powerful fundraising platform.

Among the auction items:

• A custom suit by luxury designer Kenneth Boggs with a private photoshoot

• A fine art painting by acclaimed artist Melissa Kamba

• A full cover feature in IMPACT Magazine’s Holiday Issue, themed The Gift of Giving, including a photoshoot styled by The Ivy Showroom

  • A luxurious Minky Couture blanket with a rejuvenating facial and an overnight stay at the iconic St. Regis

The auction reflects IMPACT’s commitment to building its own community of support; independent of corporations who waver in their commitment to diversity and inclusion.

“History has shown us that when we come together, we can fund our own futures,” said Brown. “The IMPACT community is strong. This scholarship is just the beginning of how we continue to invest in our youth, tell our own stories, and shape our own futures.”

We’ve already raised $4,000 toward our $15,000 goal thanks to the powerful generosity of:

The Honorable Doug Palmer, former Mayor of Trenton, NJ

Tenshia Ruffin, Property Investor/Nurse

Anthony Walker, Entrepreneur

Ebony Wheeler, Lowes
