After operating successful individual firms of their own, the two high powered attorneys recognized the increasing need for an organization like The Elite Firm to exist. Managing Partner, Merissa V. Grayson, Esq., is a divorce and child custody attorney specializing in father’s rights. She has been named one of the “Top 10 Black Female Attorneys You Should Know” within Black Enterprise and serves on the board of the Black Women Lawyers Association, Los Angeles. Attorney Grayson is also a co-parent coach, mediator, author of a 3-part book series, The Business of Co-Parenting, and a public speaker with topics ranging from Family Law, co-parenting and other blended family related topics, Entrepreneurship, Empowerment, and more. Managing Partner, Demetria Graves, Esq., is a Family Law Specialist certified by the State Bar of California. She has been named one of California’s Super Lawyers and received “Woman of the Year” by Women in Business.Attorney Graves is the current president of the Black Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles. serves on the Family Law Executive Committee of the California Lawyers Association, and has authored, “It Doesn’t Have to Be Ugly,” a comprehensive guide to assist individuals facing divorce.
In addition to the Los Angeles office, The firm currently operates offices in South Florida, New York, Chicago, and offices are set to launch in Atlanta, Central Florida, DC, and Las Vegas soon.
