As the honorees and guests arrived at the third-floor terrace ballroom of the Edison House, they were welcomed by the harmonious sounds of harpist Emily. Guests were greeted with the signature Tunisha’s Side-Side Car, a staple cocktail at the Edison House, setting the tone for an elegant evening.
After a time of networking, Tunisha Brown, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of IMPACT Magazine, opened the evening with warm remarks regarding IMPACT Magazine’s partnership with Vivint. For the past four years, Vivint has partnered with IMPACT Magazine in Utah to bring this vision to life. Their continued support allows IMPACT-Magazine to celebrate and amplify the stories of black women whose work is transforming lives. Vivint’s belief in our mission reminds us that when we invest in women, we invest in the future. After which, she introduced Elijah Taylor of Terrace Metrics. Not only was Terrace Metrics a table sponsor, but they have also partnered with IMPACT Magazine for the upcoming Unmuted Town Hall, taking place November 18th in Utah, December 5th in Houston, and March 2026 in Atlanta. Founded by licensed psychologists, educators, and behavioral health experts, Terrace Metrics is a science-based resiliency system used across K–12 schools, higher education, workplaces, and clinical settings to measure, strengthen, and sustain behavioral health.
Guests enjoyed a delectable dinner as the honorees’ video reels played, each depicting powerful moments of their stories. One by one, honorees took the stage to receive their awards and share their commitment to purpose and community, while Tunisha reminded them to care for themselves first, not allowing people, places, or things to come before their well-being.
