During Sundance, when stories of possibility fill the city, IMPACT Magazine creates space for one that is often overlooked, the story of those who defied the odds simply by showing up.
Reel IMPACT is an intimate evening of connection and conversation featuring Roxanne Avent Taylor, co-founder of Hidden Empire Film Group, whose work has helped redefine what power, ownership, and vision look like in Hollywood. Hosted by actress Novi Brown of Tyler Perry’s Sistas, the night brings together creatives, executives, and culture-shapers for a candid dialogue centered on the magazine’s Sundance feature theme: We Weren’t Supposed to Be Here.
This gathering is a reflection. A reflection on navigating rooms you were never invited into, building careers without blueprints, and claiming space in industries that were never designed with you in mind. Through conversation and shared experience, we’ll explore resilience, risk, faith, and the quiet determination required to stay the course when the odds say otherwise.
January 24th at 7pm in Salt Lake City, guests can expect meaningful connections, thoughtful dialogue, and an atmosphere rooted in authenticity; where stories are not just told, but felt.
Reel IMPACT is for those who know what it means to arrive anyway. Because sometimes the most powerful stories are the ones that were never supposed to be written, but were.
